Beijing
I spent last week in Beijing. There I met a German bakery pretzels offered. As a reporter Pretzel blog matter what I had to write about it:
pretzels are a great invention, copied anywhere in the world, but cooked properly only in their homeland. In most cases, the arms are thick and doughy and the belly butter too thin to make it neat. As a recognized pretzel magazine it is our duty, of course, the international Brezeltum on the fingers to look.
Our first pretzel review: Beijing. Chinese copy not only Rolex and Louis Vuitton, they try to even their pretzel. I sit down so the next best scarecrow taxi and the driver wildly through the city until we end up in the Lucky Street. A nightmare recreated timber romance. Middle: The South German Bakery Café Constance.
And there's even pretzels. The nice saleswoman presents the truth, the impression is excellent. They are also vorgebuttert, with the widest grin I've seen in ages. Chinese art meets cutting Germanized pretzel.
Unfortunately, the pretzel is not fresh from the oven, she is still in the categories of taste and texture in the upper middle of the pretzel home. I am shocked how far the Chinese are high, as the Bavarians can not keep up with their comic pretzels.
